Q: Has PAEA considered allowing the End of Curriculum exam to be proctored by ProctorU, MonitorEDU, Examity, or another remote proctoring service given the potential for campuses to be closed and students who are symptomatic or in quarantine to test at home?
A: PAEA has modified the PAEA Assessment Exam Policies for the administration of the PAEA End of Curriculum exam to include program eligibility requirements that must be met in order to administer the End of Curriculum exam. These requirements are important to maintain the validity of the assessment data we provide to all PA programs. In order to be eligible to administer the PAEA End of Curriculum exam, all programs must meet the following requirements:
-
- Security: The PAEA End of Curriculum exam must be proctored in person –the use of remote proctors is strictly prohibited for this exam. The PAEA End of Curriculum exam must be administered using PAEA’s selected lockdown browser, Safe Exam Browser.
- Graduation/Completion Date: The PAEA End of Curriculum exam must be delivered within the final four months of the program. Programs will not be able to schedule the exam before this point, so it is important to ensure that the graduation/completion date is accurate in ExamDriver.
- Program Director Attestation: The Program Director must truthfully complete the below Attestation of Eligibility prior to requesting to schedule the PAEA End of Curriculum exam.
If your program meets the above eligibility requirements, and you would like to administer the PAEA End of Curriculum exam, please complete this form. You will be contacted by a member of the PAEA Assessment team with clarifying questions or approval and exam scheduling will be made available.

- PACKRAT may be given at home in a proctored or unproctored mode, see instructions here. Programs who wish to do so may continue to monitor students via remote proctoring services.
- End of Rotation exams will proceed with the following updates:
- If you have a remote proctoring service, and wish to continue using it, please do so.
- If you wish to use a remote proctoring service, and are investigating different vendors, ensure it’s compatible with examdriver.com.
- Programs can use a non-traditional secondary camera to proctor the exam.
We have temporarily waived the requirement for high-security remote proctoring tools and will rely on the honor system and codes of conduct of the educational institution.

Q: Our university is closing when we planned to administer our End of Curriculum exams. Can we cancel this purchase and apply the credit towards the cost of Student Exam Boxes that we plan to purchase for our students next year?
A: examdriver.com doesn't allow us to credit an account in this way. The individual End of Curriculum exams you have purchased never expire and you can keep them in your account for your next cohort. However, if necessary we can refund your university for the individual End of Curriculum exams you currently have, and you can then purchase the Student Exam Boxes for your next class.

Q: We have a student with ADA Accommodations. Can the End of Curriculum exam be taken in one day?
A: The exam without time accommodations is 5 hours long and scheduled for 1 day. Time accommodations require a two-day event. See “How do I schedule an End of Curriculum exam with accommodations?”
