A Disconnected alert occurs any time a student disconnects from the exam window. This could be due to an internet outage, system disruption, or a closed browser window. If a student is in the middle of the exam, they will likely raise their hand to signal a problem. The proctor may Re-authorize the student to continue the exam, or contact PAEA Exam Support if they are unable to continue.
The disconnection could also mean that the student is done and did not click Complete before exiting the browser. If the student has time remaining, the proctor may allow them to log back in to their exam, reauthorize the student to continue, and click Complete. If the student does not have time remaining or has left the room, the exam will be auto-completed and scored 12 hours after the scheduled start time.
