Why do some students have the Ready/Downloaded to SecureClient status on the Monitor Exams page?

Exams that are in progress and taken on a Mac will show in the Ready and Downloaded state (red R and downward arrow) on the proctor’s Monitor Exams screen. The reason is Mac SecureClient was designed to be used offline, which means SecureClient is not data syncing with the Surpass server throughout the exam to provide updates. All responses are saved directly in the SecureClient app on the computer until the exam is completed and uploaded.
